Design Team Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday to you all,

First of all I just wanted to say a big 'Hello' to our new followers and 'thank you' for all your kind comments on the first two of our Design Team Sketch Challenge.

I'm back today with the next project - here's a little reminder of the sketch I designed ...

And here is the third project - designed by ALISON

Alison made this for a friend's son in law - the inside reads 'Antibiotics - Happy Birthday'. It certainly made me chuckle and another great interpretation of the sketch.

I would love you to pop back later in the week for the final project, which is mine - so watch this space!

Design Team Member

Hello again and welcome back to the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog.

I hope you all enjoyed meeting Alison on Monday. I'm back today with details of the next member of my brand new Design Team - please give a big warm welcome to:

Hi my name is Sandra (Sand).

I live in Pembrokeshire, South Wales and am married to a very supportive husband with 2 gorgeous sons and a mad dog!

I have always been a bit crafty and enjoyed making stockings for my boys at Christmas time. I started crafting after making a card for a friend instead of buying one and now you can't stop me!

I love to stamp whether it be rubber or digis and create cards and projects with my Cameo. I also love my melt pot and sharing ideas with people. I love all sorts of crafts and I also demonstrate for Wow Embossing powders and demonstrate in craft shops.

You can see my work at:

Well, that's member number four and I'm really looking forward to working with Sandra on my new venture too.

Please keep popping back and see what my new Design Team have in store for you over the next few weeks before launch.  Don't forget to pop Saturday 4th January in your diaries - ready for our first challenge ever!!

Big hugz, Jan xx

Design Team Member

Hello and welcome back to the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog.

First of all I would like to say a huge 'Thank You' to all my new followers for the support and words of encouragement in my new venture - it means a lot.

Now, onto some exciting news - I would like to introduce you to the next member of my brand new Design Team, so please give a warm welcome to ...

Hi, I am Alison aka Ali.
I am 56 years old and a retired medical secretary.  I live on the edge of Dartmoor National Park between Ivybridge and Tavistock.  I am married to Mr Grumpy who spoils me rotten and we have two grown-up daughters - Pauline the eldest is married and has two daughters by the name of Nicole 22 and Jessica 17, all are taller than me!   Sarah is the youngest at 36 and has come home to live after living in London - she wanted to be nearer to us, can’t get much closer than she is as she is staying with us until she gets back on her feet with a new job and flat. We also have two furry friends who live with us, one is Bella our little Jack Russell and the other is our little ginger nut kitten who goes by the name of Toby and is an unholy terror.
I started making cards in 2007 and the bug caught and I am afraid there is no cure, so will have to keep the virus at bay by buying more and more crafty things - the only medication there is for this particular virus!   I also make cold process soap and candles which I enjoy and sell quite a bit of - one of these days I will have to make up my mind about getting a web site, but then this moves from being a hobby to a business and I'm not sure I want to  go down that route yet.
I am on two other design teams and am over the moon that I have been chosen to join this team, especially in its infancy and hopefully longer if I am allowed.  You can see my work at:
Well that’s enough natter from me - I shall look forward to seeing all your creations when we are up and running - please do come and join in the fun.

Well, that's member number three and I'm really looking forward to working with Ali on my new venture.
Please keep popping back and watch out for our next new DT member later on in the week.
Big hugz, Jan xx

Design Team Member

Hello and welcome back to the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog.

I would like to introduce you to the very first member of our Design Team - a great crafty friend of mine, which some of you may already know and have seen around blogland.

Hello, I am Carole, aka Caz and Cazro in blogland.

I live in the North East of England, between Durham and Newcastle. I am married to a very understanding and encouraging guy and we have two sons, who have given us a total of 5 grandsons and 1 grand daughter. I am a happily retired Nurse Manager.

Over the years I have delved into many crafts, but in 2003 I stumbled upon paper crafting, when watching it on TV. My interest began with scrapbooking and mini-books, which I still enjoy and with 6 grandchildren I have lots to record!  I later added ATCs, Tags, card making and box making to my list of paper crafts.

I love to learn and teach others of new techniques and I run a small stamping class at home. I am so lucky to have my own craft room; the Playroom.  My obsession is stamping and playing with inks and generally getting in a mess. I love to experiment and like most addicted crafters I try to craft every day.
I started my blog in the middle of 2010 and I have met so many old and new friends whose craft work I greatly admire; I find inspiration on every blog I visit.

I am also on several Design Teams and you can see my work at:

cazroscraftycorner.blogspot.co.uk

Well, that's member number two - our DT call is still open and if you would like to join us full details can be found HERE.

Design Team Call

Now that you know me a little better, let me tell you more about the new blog.

The first challenge will go live on

Saturday 4th January 2014

This will initially be a non-prize giving blog, but the Design Team will choose a ‘Top 3’ who will all receive a ‘Winner’s badge’ to proudly display on their own blog.

So, my very first challenge is to find a brand new Design Team to join me in my new venture. I will head up the team, together with one of my best crafty friends (who I will introduce later).

I am looking for 4 more enthusiastic crafters
to join my team.

The challenge rules can be found on the tab
at the top of the page.

The term will be for six months initially
with a view to extend.

You will need to be an active blogger and
social networker, and be able to make and post
1 project every two weeks on Saturdays
to meet challenge deadlines.

Each team member will be required to
comment on challenge entries
and will be allocated commenting numbers.

I have no fancy DT incentives to offer, I am simply looking for people who are as passionate about stamping as I am.  No previous design team experience is necessary – as this is a brand new challenge blog, I would love to consider someone who is trying to get started in the DT world.

If you would like to apply please send me an e-mail at jaybe63@hotmail.co.uk and tell me a bit about yourself, why you would like to join me, include photos of 3 pieces of your work that showcase your style and your blog address.

The DT call is open until the 20th November and I will announce the new team shortly after.

Good Luck, Jan xx

Welcome

Welcome to the Fantasy Stampers Challenge blog – I am glad you could join me at the beginning of my journey.

Let me to introduce myself …

My name is Jan (and some of you might know me as Jaybe).  I reached the magical age of ‘50’ earlier this year and declared that I would try something new – so here I am with my brand new challenge blog for you to enjoy.

I live in South Yorkshire and am married with two grown-up daughters and my two gorgeous fur babies who are never very far away from my feet.

I have always enjoyed making things and started out like many others, learning to knit and crochet with my nan and learning to sew with my mum (who was a qualified seamstress).  I later discovered cross-stitching and have more finished samples than I could ever possibly hang in my house!

I have been paper crafting for over ten years now, after receiving a handmade card from a friend. I went out and bought a card making kit for myself and the rest is history – you know the story! After very quickly filling the dining room table and all the space around it, I now have my very own craft space in my conservatory.

Crafting has now become an addiction and I would love to craft full-time (maybe one day!)  My first love is making cards and would describe my style as mainly cute, with lots of embellishments – I often have to tell myself to ‘step away from the card’! I also love making home décor projects as gifts and for my home.  I have dabbled in all kinds of crafts, including art journaling, scrapbooking, altered art, ATCs, zentangle and am willing to give ‘anything a go’. I also sell some of my cards and gifts. If you would like to check out my work, you can find my personal blog at:

My favourite technique has to be stamping, hence the nature of my new challenge blog and my favourite craft tool has to be my Grand Calibur which my hubby bought me for Christmas a couple of years ago (and I think I use it every time I craft!)

I am also a member of the Polkadoodles design team and have been for nearly two years now – so have an understanding of how this all works and the commitment required.

When I’m not crafting you can usually find me with my nose in a book - my second passion! Anyone who knows me will tell you that I can’t walk past a book shop without buying some new books.  I love fantasy fiction and am addicted to all things vampire related.

Well, that’s me – I would love you to follow my new blog and spread the word about the exciting times ahead. I would be honoured if any of you would like to display my new snazzy blog badge on your blogs too.

Details of my DT call are coming up on the next post.

Bye for now, Jan xx
