Midway Motivation - Pretty in Pink

Welcome back to our
 'Midway Motivation' post here at
FANTASY STAMPERS.

We have a returning Guest Designer with us for our 'Midway Motivation' post during the month of February, so please welcome back Leslie.  If you missed it last time, here's a little bit about her ...

My name is Leslie, I'm married with two grown children and one granddaughter, and I live in north Florida. I began scrapbooking about 40 years ago, way back when scrapbooks were really bland - before all the fun papers and embellishments came about. For the last 20 years or so, my paper passion has been card making. I started out making computer-generated cards, graduated to card kits, then quickly realized that having my own stash of stuff was the way to go! The rest is history, as they say! I'm addicted to rubber stamping and also enjoy making 3-D paper projects, especially paper shoes and mini albums, and have been known to alter a few tins and boxes. Thanks to my sister, I also started beading and making jewelry about a year or so ago.

A huge thanks to Jan and the Fantasy Stampers crew for having me on board the month of February. Looking forward to getting inky fingers with all of them! ;)

Here is Leslie's lovely project for a little inspiration ...

Such a cleverly designed card
using Stampin' Up 'Mosaic Madness'
and 'Papillion Potpourri'.

Many thanks, Leslie.

So, there is still plenty of time to join us - the current challenge will close on the 27th February, and I will be back with details of our next challenge the following day.

# 30 - Pretty in Pink

Welcome back to the
'Fantasy Stampers Challenge'.

Just a reminder if you are new to our challenge -
your project doesn't have to be
of a 'Fantasy' nature.

First of all, 'Thank You' to those of you that joined us for our last challenge 'PS. I Love You' - we had some really pretty romantic entries. Please don't forget to pop back tomorrow to check out our 'Winner's Post'.

So, onto the important news - as a result of our Design Team Call I would like to introduce you to our two brand new team members.

First up, please welcome Helen who you might recognize as one of our previous guest designers ...

I've been a card maker for many years and particularly enjoy stamping. I'm lucky enough to be part of the design team for Little Claire, Pink Gem, Inky Impressions, Imagine That Digis by Kris, Buckwell Craft Supplies and Card Creations Plus as well as several challenge blogs. For the past two years I've worked for Abbeyfield, which is a charity providing care for the elderly. I'm an Activities Co-ordinator covering a care home and two sheltered houses.

Second up, please welcome Jackie ...

I live in south Hampshire just outside Southampton and am married to Keith who is a very patient man – he needs to be. We have one grown up daughter who lives in Winchester and I work part- time in a school supporting visually impaired pupils.

I have crafted one way or another for a long time. I can remember as a child making paper lanterns to decorate my room at Christmas. Along the way I have tried many crafts like knitting, rug making, patch work, macramé, crotchet and dress making. About eight years ago I started to notice that some people were making handmade cards, especially at Christmas, and I decided to give this a go myself. Since then I haven’t looked back and the house is now full of my crafty stash. I am permanently on a mission to try and organise all my bits and pieces. My crafting is done on the dining room table and my very understanding husband, who often has to eat somewhere else so I can complete a project, doesn't complain.  I would like to say that doesn't happen often, but it does.

Stamping and die-cutting are a passion and I have many stamps and dies.  Just recently I have applied my card making skills to scrap booking some of our memorable moments it is a wonderful way to treasure a memory. I have also had a go at a few home décor pieces so you may see these some of these in the future. It is amazing how many uses you can find for stamps.

I started blogging a year ago and I am so pleased that I did it has meant that I can easily join in with challenges that are set (and there are lots of them). I find that challenges help me to develop my skills and help me to think about things in a different way. I am so pleased to be joining the Design Team here - I think it will be lots of fun.

Happy Crafting,  Jackie

Just to let you know we are also always on the lookout for Guest Designers to join us for our 'Midway Motivation' posts on the alternate Saturdays to the challenge.  This opportunity will require you to make two projects on two different themes and would give you the chance to experience being on a design team, without all the extra commitment.  If you are interested in being a 'Guest Designer' please add GDT after your entry below.
